📍 Destination of the Week — Chattanooga Neighborhood Enterprise (CNE)

This week’s spotlight isn’t a restaurant or park — it’s an organization quietly shaping Chattanooga’s neighborhoods.

Chattanooga Neighborhood Enterprise (CNE) is a local nonprofit focused on strengthening communities by helping residents access affordable housing, financial education, and pathways to homeownership.

Founded in 1986, CNE was created to help improve housing conditions in Chattanooga and support families looking to buy, keep, or improve their homes. Since then, the organization has helped thousands of residents purchase homes, secure loans, and stabilize neighborhoods across the city.

Here are a few ways they help the community:

🏠 Homebuyer Education & Financial Counseling
CNE offers classes and coaching to help people prepare for buying a home, understand credit, and manage finances.

💰 Down Payment Assistance & Lending Programs
Qualified buyers can access programs that help cover closing costs and down payments, making homeownership more attainable.

🔧 Home Repair & Improvement Loans
Low-interest financing is available to help homeowners fix roofs, plumbing, energy upgrades, and other essential repairs.

🏘️ Affordable Housing Development
CNE also develops and manages housing throughout Chattanooga to create mixed-income neighborhoods and stable communities.

Their mission is simple: create economically diverse neighborhoods where more Chattanoogans can afford a safe place to live.

Thanks for reading. I’d Love to shout you out in a future email. Let me know what GOOD has happened recently. [email protected] or reply to this email. See you this time next week.
