🏞️ Destination of the Week

Windy Hill Farm & Preserve (Loudon, TN)

My visit to Windy Hill was nothing short of magical. Nestled on 650 acres cradled by the Tennessee River, this all-inclusive retreat blends rustic comfort with refined culinary delights. The setting—a tapestry of rolling hills, gardens, riverside trails, and cozy cabins—feels like stepping into a serene, hidden world.

Dining at Wilder, the on-site restaurant, was a standout experience. Executive Chef Ben Warwick’s menus celebrate Appalachian tradition with international flair, leaning into seasonal, hyperlocal ingredients sourced from their own gardens and local purveyors. Think buttermilk quail with sherry-honey, smoked pork belly with maple, or breakfast of sweet potato hash with farro—each dish was thoughtful, soulful, and unforgettable.

The vibe is both luxe and homey. Morning coffee with sweeping views, evenings around fire pit s’mores under the stars, and warm, welcoming staff made the whole stay feel like hospitality at its finest.

💬 Closing Thoughts

Every week I’m reminded of how much good is happening around us — from families finding their dream homes, to local artists sharing their talents, to unforgettable places like Windy Hill welcoming us with open arms and amazing food.

As always, I’d love to hear from you. If you see something positive in our community — big or small — send it my way. Your stories and tips help spread the good news even further, and that’s what keeps this Scoop alive.

Until next week, keep smiling, keep sharing, and remember: the best news is often right in our own backyard.
